Description
A perennial plant with ascending stems usually up to 50 cm tall, slightly furrowed, finely cobwebby and almost white-felted below the inflorescence. The leaves are sinuately pinnately divided beyond the middle, densely covered with small spines and white-felted beneath. The flower heads are nearly sessile, 2.5 to 3.5 cm long, clustered in twos and threes in a racemose to corymbose inflorescence; the corolla is pink. It flowers in August and September and grows on grassy slopes, along roads and in pine and juniper woods.After the „Flora of the USSR“ (reproduced at Plantarium)
