Description
Verpa digitaliformis appears in spring at about the same time as the early morel (Verpa bohemica) and often in the same places — in light mixed woodland with birch. It also grows in other grassy places, in forest clearings and along tracks, and continues to fruit until about the middle of June. Translated from a Russian-language source.
