Description
A perennial with a short oblique rhizome and numerous roots. The stem is solitary, simple, erect, ribbed, hollow inside and 60 to 160 cm tall. The basal leaves wither early; the lower stem leaves have broadened petioles, the blade broadly ovate, cordate at the base and coarsely unevenly sharp-toothed. The inflorescence is corymbose, of 20 to 60 heads; the ray florets are yellow. It flowers in June and July and fruits in August, growing in mountain forests and tall-herb meadows.After the „Flora of the USSR“ (vol. 26, reproduced at Plantarium)
