Prunus spinosa, called blackthorn or sloe, is a species of flowering plant in the rose family, Rosaceae.

Uses

Плоды используют для наливок, настоек, варенья и компотов, а также как приправу; после подмораживания теряют вяжущий вкус. Растение — хороший медонос и почвозакрепитель, годится для непроходимых живых изгородей.
