Description
Postia stiptica (also Amaropostia stiptica, Oligoporus stipticus) is a common bracket fungus. The annual fruit body is soft and juicy, white, semicircular, yellowing with age. The flesh is intensely bitter, which gives the fungus its name. It grows on dead conifer wood, more rarely on broad-leaved trees, and is inedible. Translated from the German-language Wikipedia.
