Description

Megacollybia platyphylla, the whitelaced shank, is a mushroom of the family Porotheleaceae. It grows singly or in small groups as a saprotroph on rotting stumps and logs of broad-leaved trees, and is one of the earliest gilled mushrooms of the season.
