Description
Macrotyphula fistulosa, the pipe club, is a relatively uncommon fungus which, despite the gill-less fruit body, belongs to the agarics. It grows from mid-September to the end of October in broad-leaved and mixed woods with birch, aspen and oak, on leaf litter, on buried twigs, in grassy clearings and beside paths, in groups and colonies.
