Description
Gomphidius rutilus, the copper spike, grows in pine and pine-rich mixed forest, singly and in groups, but is uncommon; it is sometimes found together with the granulated bolete. It forms mycorrhiza with pine. Season: August to September. Translated from a Russian-language source.
